Health officials also say half of the hospitalizations have been children under 18. That's why they want to make sure that everyone who is over six months gets vaccinated. " A lot of people have had the flu and cold and sneezes, and what is important to remember is the simple things you're mother told you. Wash your hands, cover your cough and most importantly if you're sick stay at home, " says Larry Weatherford with the Oklahoma State Health Department. Most county health departments are charging $25 for flu vaccinations, but if you are on Medicare of if you are a senior citizen you may qualify for a fee waiver.
