Okay....this is getting out of hand, especially for an off-topic subject for this list. Too many people are asking questions that show they haven't even read the entire thread, so things need to be repeated and it's just eating up the bandwidth to no avail.

My dog eats a natural raw diet based on the prey model, lots of raw meaty bones, offal (organ meats), meat, fish, some vegetables (human leftovers mostly) and fruit as a treat once in a while. No grains at all. She eats a very well balanced diet over time. I know what I'm doing diet-wise, have been doing it for 3.5 years now. She is the picture of health and vitality, except for her itchies. Suzi has given me the idea that it may well be nerves (she is pretty high strung and active, especially for a Golden), so at her upcoming annual visit to the hvet we will discuss that and add it to her rubrics and see what we come up with. If I can find a calming herbal tincture that I can figure out how to get into her I will try that also (although probably not if we come up with a new remedy, as they often don't co-exist well -- I'll try the remedy first and then the herbs).

So I thank you all for your input and this thread is closed. Please take any further questions or input privately, but before you do read the thread and make sure it hasn't already been discussed to death.

Sharyn
