Guest guest
The banks have just gotten far too big with centralized bureaucracies. Errors and "lost" paperwork are common. Lost paperwork has been so common in fact that many believe that it isn't a mistake but a plot by the banks and mortgage companies to poach prime real estate from the owners so they can resell it for a greater immediate profit than they would earn over the years from the interest. As for trying to steal a paid for house, well, that's just beyond the pale and needs to be investigated as a criminal act. In a message dated 6/5/2011 1:03:49 P.M. " Most big banks process payments and other paperwork at central processing centers. There may be a hold up these days between when something is received and something is processed due to low staffing, and whatever is processed won't post until the following day. And so something you send in might wind up in a bin for a few days until it is processed, or maybe more if the bin gets forgotten.
