Guest guest
Egypt suffers from the same problem as many Third World nations: A population explosion that outstrips economic growth. Because of increased food supplies, often with government subsidized low prices, the population in many countries has exploded. The economies of these nations for many reasons has not. So, the cycle of poverty remains and even grows over time. Many of these countries have also long since outstripped their ability to feed themselves. If the government really does fall apart, food will become a serious issue and that will increase the chaos. Still, I fear this will be part of our own future. Remember that some of Obama's mentors like Piven are calling for violent revolt in the streets. That probably will come to pass just as soon as conditions are bad enough for them to have a chance of successfully causing as much chaos and damage as possible toward their goal of overthrowing the US system an imposing their own. They say this openly now but no one is listening. In a message dated 1/30/2011 12:11:23 A.M. Many of the people there are out of work, and there is a lot of slum-like near the outer rim of the city furthest from the Nile Get those people going and you have a real powder keg waiting to be lit.Administrator
