And South Carolina and Florida

It was detected in Nevada earlier, so that means a pretty large chunk of the US has been dusted by the radiation. I'm interested in what the levels have been in California and Oregon since the releases from the explosions should have been coming across last week. Still, I haven't seen anything about it, just that at least 4 of 11 EPA detectors weren't working, supposedly.

Now we have to see what the government does about the nuclear industry here. We know that the Germans are shutting down their reactors. They can do that because they think they can import electricity from neighboring nations that are still using nuclear reactors. My concern is that here in the US they will try the same thing and essentially take away 20% or so of the power capacity of the United States. But that will go along with what Obama said in the campaign, that he wanted energy costs to skyrocket, and his tsars who want to dedevelop the US. Things is, that won't improve the environment here one bit. It is development that allowed the excess resources to make the improvements we have. Crashing the economy will stifle any further development and will only leave the majority in poverty while the elite few live better than ever.
