That's an interesting take I hadn't considered. It could also be that Syria is trying to get its own people more interested in attacking Israel than trying to overthrow the government. This is a common tactic in the Middle East, to shift blame for domestic failures to Israel. It could also catch on particularly as things are likely to get worse in Egypt and other countries.
