Clinton warns Iran over meddling in Persian Gulf

Just like under her husband's administration they couldn't throw the military around enough. What a lot of people don't realize because the media is not reporting on it at all is that the number of attacks on US and allied troops are up since Obama took office. There are more troops that in a long time in Afghanistan and they are in heavy contact with the highest casualty rates yet, some 7,000 per year. Not one word from the media on how many are over there and how hard the fighting is nor all the IED attacks. Under Bush the media was all bad war news all the time but now its dead silence.

Clinton ran the military ragged. Much of his budget balancing came on the back of cutting the military, so much so that after 9/11 many of his advisors said they had cut too much. The idea was to fight two major wars at one time, meaning in Korea plus another operation. However, even while Clinton was in office they knew they couldn't manage that because of the cuts. The military has been built up some under Bush but then run ragged by the constant war. These other operations are going to do the same thing, run the military even more ragged and use up ordnance and machines that might not get replaced.
