Guest guest
The FedEx 400 NASCAR race at Dover Delaware this past weekend was in part to benefit Autism Speaks. Some changes were obvious. A few years ago the track was lined all the way around on the wall with the Autism Speaks logo, there were flags of the same, etc., and lots of commercials about it. This year there was nothing on the track and I don't recall any commercials (bearing in mind that I mute them and don't watch the screen at those times). I wouldn't even have realized the Autism Speaks link if the announcers hadn't mentioned it a few times. I can only wonder at how much money they spent on those previous races. I guess they couldn't afford that this time because donations must be drying up what with the science saying Autism is genetic and not linked to the vaccines. Still, it annoyed me to see the link still there even if they have gone from a race sponsor to a real charity case.
