My oldest son got all vaxes (except prevnar) up to his four-year boosters.

This year we filed a religious exemption with his preschool. You can get

" religion " at any time, KWIM? I wouldn't even mention that he's had any

vaxes.

Harper,Thank you. I should never have responded to Jerry's e-mail to me. I promise I will not post any more on the subject!

Sorry for all the turmoil!

Nonsense. Nothing at all to apologize for. Everyone meant well. Things just got tangled up. Life works that way, with humans. Monkeys, too, most likely. We untangle and go on, and then we tangle again, and then ---

Joanne, regarding Qi Gong: That sounds almost exactly like the way my mother taught me to get to sleep when I was three or four years old, half a century ago! ("Pretend you're Raggedy Ann -- tell your toes to be like Raggedy and get ready for sleep. Tell your ankles --- etc. Now, start again at your toes and tell them to go to sleep ---" Those are nice memories for me.

Dear Kathy,

It's good to hear from you again. It has been awhile, hasn't it? The U said my weight was okay but since it kept creeping up, I should be careful because of the BMI. I too met with Kathy, the nutritionist, several times. I got several good ideas from her on dealing with snacking and cravings I get. I discovered diet posicles this summer and low cal/sal soups. I didn't find it working for me because of the infrequent meetings but it did help us start paying attention. I joined a WW group with some teachers I know and I have lost some weight but I find when I really don't feel well, it's hard to stick to. The WW pizza (made on pita or English muffin) is a life saver as well as a chicken broth with veggies in it. It is difficult and when you start with having to lose, that's got to be very difficult - you've done well :) Mostly it's controlling my portions and the fat which seem to help.

Right now it's a pain because I have to stay away from fresh veggies and some fruits so that I can leave the house without a double layer of Depends, maybe duct tape would hold them on better? My GI is trying some different things with me to help my system settle but as long as I need the lactulose(until transplant), I will probably have to be careful with food in that regard, too.

Let me know how the battle goes! You can e-mail me separately if you want. Take care.

Amy
