Larry Hagman Added To 'Dallas' Remake Cast

(RTTNews) - Larry Hagman has signed on for the TNT pilot remake of the 1980s

series " Dallas. "

Hagman will be reprising his role as J.R. Ewing, and will be joined by original

" Dallas " cast members Gray, as his wife Sue Ellen Ewing, and Duffy

as his younger brother Bobby. The original cast members will also be joined by

" Desperate Housewives " actor Josh as Ross, and " The Fast and the

Furious " actress Jordana Brewster as Elena.

Hagman said of the remake in an interview with " CBS News " ' Couric: " It was

always a challenge, always fun. And being at work that long - how many actors

get a chance to do that? "

The " Dallas " remake will follow the children of Southfork's Ewing family as they

debate the future of their family and its oil fortune.

The original " Dallas " ran from 1978 to 1991 and set a record viewership of 90

million in America for its final episode.
