Guest guest
The numbness and tingling on extremities could be a B12 deficiency (and high Folic acid)... the WBC could be a lot of things, but if she has had a long chronic infection, the B12 could be depleted too. Seems like they would have checked that based on the symptoms, though. She needs a more thorough workup, though. Has she had a sed rate, Ferriten, maybe immune panel, ASO and mycoplasma tests, lime, etc? Sounds like it, but I would still question just how " inconclusive " they are - you know how OUR labs always seem rather " inconclusive " or, even more fun, " Normal " . Perhaps you could have her post them here (without her name) and see if they compare to others? 'Cause the sublte elevations (like barely elevated liver function, etc) are often not considered as a whole. --- Jerri Gann <njgann@...> wrote: > I don't know if this is the right place for this but > you guys are so > informed and aware of the latest research. Guest guest
My son and I both had numbness and tingling in our feet and hands (they called it perrripheral neuropathy) when we were toxic in arsenic from the golf course we lived on. She might want to look into what's being sprayed around where she lives especially if the problem is cyclical or just started in the last month or so (most of the big herbicide spraying on golf courses, orchards, ball fields, etc. starts in the spring). Arsenic tends to lower WBC rather than raise them but she could have been exposed to some other type of chemical that does the opposite.
