Guest guest
:you have a lot of patience to photograph the birds and animals!!Personally I enjoyed the Cardinal in the tree, they are such spectacular birds!rl'My cat Rusty is a servant of the Living God....'adapted from a poem by SmartSubject: A few new pictures postedTo: FAMSecretSociety Received: Tuesday, February 22, 2011, 12:14 PM I haven't been taking very many pictures lately because of other distractions. However, here are a few new ones. I'm working on catching the Pileated Woodpecker in the Holly Tree since they are often there and they like the berries. It isn't easy because they tend to fly away if they see people. However, I've gotten a few from front yard when the bird must think I can't see it. Those are so so. I've been trying to get it from one of the windows. Trouble it is can see me very well even close to the window and it flies away. I'll get it one of these days though. Guest guest
Thanks. Its less patience that getting lucky to catch them being photogenic long enough for me to get the camera combined with taking lots of pictures. I've probably got 20 or so for each one I think is worth touching up and posting, probably a lot more than that. I saw on a program some time back about the National Geographic photographers that they could take hundreds of pictures for every one that makes it into the magazine. I can really understand that since it is so easy to miss the timing on a good shot just by the time it takes the shutter to click. Quite a few times I've missed shots because of that. This new camera also doesn't catch motion at all. Even on the "animal" setting the least movement tends to blur. My last camera on the other hand could catch a hummingbird's wings in motion with no blur. :you have a lot of patience to photograph the birds and animals!!Personally I enjoyed the Cardinal in the tree, they are such spectacular birds!rl
