Guest guest
But, this was supposed to be a post racial society now that Obama was elected. Race wasn't supposed to matter anymore. In reality the politicians are more about race than ever before. They know the demographic trends being led on by the deliberately unprotected border and welcoming policy to illegal immigrants. So they are pandering to them, handing them all manner of welfare and unearned goodies in exchange for the votes. Just hastening the collapse of the country. " The US has always had a love/hate relationship with the Puerto Ricans. They enjoy all sorts of benefits, but without actually throwing their hat into the ring, and then claim they are discriminated against by other Americans for no reason. If they want the discrimination to end, they should become a state. If the Puerto Ricans had any sense, they would see this visit as an insult. They would see Obama's visit as a grab for votes in the primary and nothing more. Puerto Rica is a financial liability to the states because of the hurricanes drifting through all the time. It used to be a military advantage when plains had shorter flight ranges, but we don't need that country anymore. This happens to be how many OTHER Americans feel which means that while Obama might get a bunch of Puerto Ricans voting for him in the primary, many others stateside will NOT specifically because he tried to get extra votes from Puerto Ricans.
