Vandals destroy autistic kids' garden

Katy McCloskey

14 Jun 2011

Mindless vandals have destroyed a nature garden used by children with special

needs.

Thugs broke into the garden at Toryglen Autism Unit over the weekend, ripping

apart plants, tipping out soil and smashing planters.

Unit coordinator n Macfarlane said: " The children are devastated. They've

worked so hard planning and growing the garden for the last two years. "

The garden was created by the children as a place where they could go to learn

about nature and the environment.

It is also used for children who need respite from stress in the classroom.

All the children at the school have been involved in the garden – growing all

the plants from seeds or cuttings themselves.

The kids were shocked when they discovered the mess when they arrived at school.

As I've said before, until humanity wakes up a realizes the old laws were brutal for a reason, these creatures will keep up this kind of activity and getting worse and worse. It goes beyond incidents like this to increasing acts of mob violence and other disorder.
