Guest guest
That's just the latest excuse. For centuries the Copts have been treated terribly. Most of them are forbidden any but the most menial work like cleaning up garbage and sewage, and they are regularly harassed. This round of attacks has been going on since before Mubarak fell. Its just pickin gup steam now. Like I've said also, this is repeating in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and soon will happen in Syria as well once Assad is out of power. They are getting away with it for the same reason the Turks got away with massacring more than a hundred thousand Christian Armenians: the supposedly Christian West doesn't care. The worst attacks against Iraqi Christians came after the US overthrew Saddam and could have protected them but didn't. I'm sure its only going to get worse and the US will have a share of the blame for this since it is likely that the US had a hand in unseating Mubarak. In a message dated 5/8/2011 1:33:16 P.M. Officials said violence began over rumors that a Christian woman who converted to Islam was being held at the church against her will.
