Guest guest
The problem is that if the government were given another $1 trillion in taxes, it will spend another $4 trillion at least and the cuts will be forgotten. However, I wouldn't mind seeing taxes raised on some. Isn't antithetical for there to be multimillionaire or even billionaire Democrats? By the same token, what about all of them who don't pay their taxes (like many in Obama's regime) or get out of doing so through accounting tricks? I suggest applying the FDR tax scale to these rich Democrats, union leaders, teachers, etc. and see what happens. I'm betting that many of the richest, including entertainers who threatened to leave the US if Bush were elected (but didn't), actually would leave the country. If nothing else they would whine and scream about how unfair it was to be made to pay taxes for the programs they demand and support, when they aren't actually paying the taxes to fund them.
