Its entitlement spending that keeps Dems in office. If they cut it they know they will be tossed and maybe even attacked by the howling mobs they love to whip up. Thing is, those mobs can't be controlled forever and they will turn with against their masters at the slightest slip.

It doesn't matter what the mobs get. They will never be satisfied. In Greece,

people are whining that the mandatory retirement age will be raised higher than

61 years of age, and that people earning minimum wage will be taxed.

The country is going to implode with the austerity measures anyway, but that

isn't the point. These people were spoiled from the very beginning, and that is

how they got to where they are now.
