Guest guest
Hi Sharolyn- The number of meds really depends on your child... BTW-he should probably also be on acidophilus too? It totally depends on your child's health and response. Some people also add Tenex or a combo of SSRIs but that is usually much later. Some children have needed IMGG injections but only later and when indicated, after meds have had time to work and if response isn't as good as it needs to be. As far as the labs for mycoplasma and Lyme, again, it depends on the child, medical history, etc. You should ask him, although it may be later on down the road. If you've seen your child really brighten on antibiotics, it may or may not be useful to try to identify an infection, but really, it starts to matter more down the road as the child's immune system starts to improve. There could be lots of latent infections now that would resolve themselves during treatment. Those infections would be affected by the protocol as well. Guest guest
S, This is entirely dependent on a case by case basis. Some kids respond very well to the specific configuration of meds prescribed by Dr G. The dosage and variety are then tweaked over time. Some kids are helped enormously others not at all. Again the amount of meds and whether it helps is not very generalizable and goes case by case. R How many meds? Hi all. We've been with Dr Goldberg for 3 months now and my son is on Valtrex, Nizoral, Iron supp, Zoloft and Claritin. I was wondering how many meds we will end up on? ALso, I've been surfing web and am interested in getting my son tested for Lyme and mycoplasma infections. Is this something Dr Goldberg supports?
