Andre cancelled gig to go to royal wedding, claims charity

Andre has scrapped plans for a fundraising gig because he has bagged an

invite to the royal wedding instead, charity organisers claim.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 37, was booked to sing at a 500-capacity red carpet

gig in support of the autism group ­Dominic's House.

But charity spokesman Shaun Bradbury said Andre will be " down in London " on

April 29 – not at Preston's Guild Hall, and 22 fans have asked for their money

back.

However, royal officials at Clarence House insist nobody has been ­promised an

invite yet.

Mr Bradbury, who has invited X Factor flops Aiden Grimshaw and Archer

instead, said: " When news of 's cancellation came to us we were very

disappointed.

" I suppose that's showbusiness – celebs have to cancel all the time. "
