Hospitals in the US are running out of drugs needed by critically ill patients. In particular these are IV electrolytes for those who can't get nutrition any other way. The supply is so short in places that hospitals are talking about rationing their supplies. That means choosing who lives and who dies.Looks to me like the new system is going back to the old system where hospitals were places you went to die rather than get better.

Interesting that there should be these types of drug shortages all around the

world. One wonders what the drug manufacturers are doing. Twiddling their thumbs

maybe, and raking in the profits.

Yep. Precisely. But hey, free healthcare right? Who cares? People are

optimistic. They all think they are going to beat the odds, not realizing that

the odds of getting poor healthcare increase with cruddy doctors.

After all, why should they stay in practice for less money but greater chance of

being sued?
