In a French medical document with results from

capnograpie

there is the phrase ... la valeur de ROSC, càd la resistence pulmonaire de 271%

=======================================

what is the abbreviation ROSC

the document is to be translated into Swedish. If ROSC is the same in

English, our medicos over her will most certainly

understand, but with French one has to be careful, sometims one must read

abbrevaitions the other way around like with

French CD which is DC in English et simile.....

càd la resistence pulmonaire

what is càd ?

========================================

This is the very first time for a long long time I had to ask for an

explanation on this eminent list. I am glad I am still with you on the

list, since it seems as if one cannot live a medical translator's life

without it.

Thanks in advance.

I prefer not to write the above phrase as TIA as others do on e-mail list,

as this is a medical abbreviation for

TIA - thus Transitory Ischemic Attack - which is exacly what I suffered

from in November -December 2000 and it took some time

beforeI my come-back to a translator's full life,

Bill Leksén, still alive 'n kickin' as they say in the Wild West.
