Here is the significant thing: It paves the way for further prosecutions. You

can bet a lot of people will now own up, especially if Blago offers to tell

everything he knows in order to get a reduced sentence.

You see, there is speculation that Obama himself knew that his seat was to be

sold and did nothing about it. So there is a possibility that there may be

further fireworks.

That's rather surprising on the one hand, given how many powerful people were

backing Blago. It isn't surprising given how many previous Illinois governors

end up in prison.
