Guest guest
He should explain why he was pushed into this by a few female activists. Hillary Clinton was one of them. She is on record as hating the military and when her husband was president, she treated the military men around the white house terribly. She even at least once ordered Marine Officers to act as waiters at dinner (something I would have refused to do since she wasn't in the chain of command). Bill and Hillary frittered the military away one useless "humanitarian" missions as well. They drove it to the point of breaking between troops cuts and budget freezes. Yes, budgets were frozen as operations picked up meaning training had to be cut, maintenance cut and soldiers ended up applying for foodstamps. However, Hillary also learned the value of dropping bombs to distract the public from things the government was doing they didn't want seen. It also helped boost presidential ratings in the polls. Just remember, these are people who hate the military and want to impose crippling social engineering programs on it. They don't understand it, they don't know what it is really for nd don't care to know. I'm also wondering if they will be so glad if the power struggle after Qaddafi is gone turns even bloodier and if food supplies are disrupted. quote from article: News reports first disclosed in the New York Times said that Ms. Power, U.N. Ambassador Rice and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton helped overrule reluctant defense and military leaders in persuading Mr. Obama to launch military operations against Col. Gadhafi’s forces under the guise of protecting civilians from those forces. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/mar/28/aide-credits-obama-for-libyans-uprising/ In a message dated 3/28/2011 4:28:01 P.M.
