Guest guest
Eventually they won't be able to hide price increases this way anymore. Folks should really be paying attention to things like the record drought in and around Texas that is cutting the grain and meat supplies, that more corn is going into ethanol this year than ever before, that there is a serious push to trade commodities in other funds than dollars. Also, as inflation in the US continues, it will be harder to import food. Yes, the US imports a great deal of food these days. Its ironic that not so long ago the US send grain to China because they were starving, yet in the last few years we've been importing from them. This is a factor of lost farms and the shift from wheat to corn to sell for ethanol instead of food. Eventually nations like Brazil and others we import from won't want inflated dollars anymore and will sell to other nations like China, which will also probably stop selling to us because of domestic needs and the inflated dollar. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/29/business/29shrink.html
