Guest guest
Both my kids lived on Tylenol,Ibuprofen, and antibiotics when they were little and had multiple or one long ear infection. One was autistic and one was not. I really don't think this is the cause. I too had guilt about so many things, but we were all parents trying to do the best for our kids. The guilt is not helpful to your child or yourself. Instead spend your efforts talking to your child and working with them to help them. Now that my son is recovered, my husband and I make jokes about whose crazy family was the cause of the autism. I of course say it was his family and he says it was mine. The reality is it doesn't matter. The only important thing is that we worked together to help our son and he is better. It was not an overnight success and long hard work. When he was young I never really thought he would ever be better. Most of what I did was so I wouldn't have guilt about not doing enough for him. Spend your time on the things you can do something about, not the things you can't change. Hang in there and keep working hard. Making them better takes years and years of hard work. Call me if I can help. Marcia 805 497-8202
