Guest guest
Hello all, My name is Nissa, and I am new to the group.I am 35 years old,and was diagnosed with Still's in 2001.I first became sick in 1998 after having several severe pelvic infections, and appendicitis. My immune system turned on,and never shut off! I went through several doctors,of varying specialties.I was told I had lymphoma because I had developed an enlarged spleen, with a mass in it.As I would find out later,it all had to do with Still's.My spleen got to take a trip to the National Institute of Health. It is better traveled than I am.I have been an emergency RN for 15 years, and love it.It was a very frustrating, and frightening time.Feeling like I was dying in inches, and having doctors too scared to do anything other than say " we know something is wrong, but we don't know what " .Well thank you very much, for nothing! My partner found this group, and I already feel better knowing there are other people like me that I can share my trials and tribulations with.Living with a chronic disease can be very isolating, and make you doubt yourself.I look forward to future discussions. Best Regards, Nissa P. _________________________________________________________________ Get FREE company branded e-mail accounts and business Web site from Microsoft Office Live http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/mcrssaub0050001411mrt/direct/01/
