When you take Vitamin C, what form is it? I don't know ascrobic acid

> from ester-c, etc.

I take only powdered ester-C and take about 6-8 grams a day. Over the years I have tried every make and form of Vit. C and ester-C is the only stuff I can handle. I used to take ascorbic acid and/or calcium acsorbate powders and ended up with burning, itching, "drive-me-up-a-wall" bowel movements everytime. This never happens when I stick to non-acidic ester-C. I never, never take Vit. C tablets. Don't want those acidic nuggets sitting in my tummy. I always take my Vit. C right before bedtime as the cells regenerate when we're asleep. Other people may have different ideas on here, but this is what I do.

Rosehips and Orange and Lemon Peels all provide Vitamin C.

Yes, they do, but I am one of those people who need at least 6,000 mg of Vit C daily. I seem to have been born with a tendency toward any ailment that is blamed on a Vit. C deficiency and I need tons of it. I can usually tolerate 6-8+ grams a day and still not get the runs. I have taken up to 15 grams and had no problems. I simply can't get that much Vit. C from food. If I drop below 6 grams, my gums flare up big time.

They also contain

bioflavonoids and pectin along with other bioavailable goodies that only

do your body good.

I have to add that the ester-C I take also has bioflavonoids in it. Linus ing said they weren't necessary, but I have found they really enhance the benefits.

True, but I'm scared of using Orange and Lemon peels because I live in the

north and I haven't seen any " organic " citrus here. I wouldn't want to eat

pesticide-laden peels.

I have some rosehips from some wild roses though. What should I do with

them to obtain Vit C?

A couple of reasons actually, one is that if they are spraying crops on a

regular basis, as the fruit grows it might incorporate the

pesticide/whatever into the peel - I'm thinking specifically about citrus

fruit. I've also found that I cannot tolerate some apples. Even when I

peel them I can still taste something yucky and they give me stomach pains.

I've given up eating apples - my favourite food(!) and will be looking

around for an organic orchard so that I can pick my own soon.
