Guest guest
We are preparing to start Valtrex for 2 of our children. Our practitioner wants us to start Diflucan for our 13yo to prepare (he's on Nystatin now). He usually has *big* reactions to yeast meds, so we'll have to go low & slow. My 2yo had a respitory reaction to diflucan. He was getting too much too quick though, I believe. I'd like to try him again, low & slow, & she agrees. Problem - I can't get any meds into 2yo. He is very tough to get meds into; very tough. can't stand the taste; clamps mouth shut. Even if we get it down him he spits it back up. We're always in fear of him choking. I want to start the diflucan again but this is a huge problem; any thoughts or ideas? Also problem - I'm told the valtrex is NASTY to taste. Not sure if 13yo will be okay with it; he takes an awful lot from me. But for 2yo; forget it. He's a ways off from trying it, but again, for either child, asking for ideas how you get this into them. Thanks again in advance, Michele
