Guest guest
Lori, I didn't know this until very recenlty about boiling water for infants: I recently read that if you boil it for more than one minute (I realize you don't mention how long you boil water for your daughter), it can increase nitrates in it to unsafe levels. I read this in a recent issue of " Parents " or " Parenting " magazine, and I thought I would share because I was so shocked, esp. since I boiled water for my twins for their first 2 years, and I boiled it sometimes for several minutes, and it was upsetting to find out that I might have been making it toxic for them. Kristy Re: terbutaline Argie, Caroline, and , Thanks for your replies. I really appreciate it. I have been following the diet throughout this pregnancy, so, hopefully that will help. - thanks for the pool info - I'll definitely keep them out of it this Summer. Can you tell me the best way to get probiotics into their bodies? I've been wondering about this for a while. Should I just wet my finger and put it in the probiotics, and let them suck on it? I don't want them to choke, but I definitely think they should have some (I'm on antibiotics for a UTI). What is an appropriate dosage/times per day? Also, how do you ferment breastmilk and what's a keifer? Would putting the probiotics directly into their mouths be just as good? Thanks, nne
Guest guest
Kristy, Thanks for pointing this out...I had no idea and was always advised to boil water for up to 5 minutes to eliminate fluoride, chlorine and other lovely things that are in our drinking water. I had also heard that bottled water was okay for infants, but I never trusted the source of the water and the fact that the water has been contained in plastic. Thanks for the heads up...Something ELSE to research...Thanks goodness we live in a world of Google!! Lori Re: terbutaline Argie, Caroline, and , Thanks for your replies. I really appreciate it.
