Guest guest
I am not a doctor (important to say when you speak about dosing) but the DAN! Physician's Training Manual from a couple years ago says about 25mg + 1mg per kg (2.2lbs) of body weight. Some suggest on an empty stomach, but others talk about how it can cause a burning sensation in and empty stomach. For us, we administered it with food, but I hear pros and cons from both sides. - Stan
Guest guest
HI from Sue... Although I'm not familiar with the Water OZ form... I definitely DITTO... the use of HIGH amts.of ZINC and antioxidants...for immune recovery. The nice thing about the liquid SYSTEMIC FORMULA ZINC we use --- from Infinity Health from CO. is that you KNOW WHEN you have TOO much ---because it changes taste... So for someone who is verbal... start with the recommended dose... =2 teaspoons... and keep adding more until the TASTELESS Zinc becomes bitter...than you know if it's too much.... That will help judge your normal dosage. Now -- if you accidentally have too much...and feel like VOMITING or am nauseated.... take activated CHARCOAL...and it should immediately make you feel better...(check out the book called Charcoal Remedies.com.) I find the Liquid form of zinc...easier on my STOMACH than the pill form I used to use... zinc monomethione... Now when I'm fighting a cold... BEFORE the sore throat appears. I muscle test about 3 TABLEspoons of Zinc every 6 -12 hours! And I increase my antioxidants about 2-3 times normal... juices, etc. (and increase the GSH patch wearing every 12 hours). Doing those 3 things... at the first sign of sickness.... has allowed me to be FREE of colds and sickness for about 2 years now.... And I'm so thrilled... since I used to be sick at the drop of a hat.! But most of all ...ZINC...is critical.for us.. Hope that helps, Sue......PS... and like Stan..mentioned I often need extra MB12 sprays to rid... cold related bugs/ coughs,/throat discomforts. RE : Zinc dosing Re: Zinc dosing Posted by: "julieobradovic@..." julieobradovic@... julieobradovic Tue Feb 26, 2008 12:29 pm (PST) FWIW, we used the Water Oz form of it, in what seemed to be massive doses...6 tsp per day (1/2 tsp is the recommended version). We still use it, only at 3 tsp now.I attribute most of my daughter's immune function recovery to the massive doses of zinc and buffered vitamin C that she received. Anecdotedal or not, these 2 interventions seemed to work wonders for her. And the Water Oz, albeit expensive, was easy and tasteless.-------------- Original message -------------- From: "Stan Kurtz" <stankurtzgmail> I am not a doctor (important to say when you speak about dosing) but the DAN!
