Assuming one electrode of the tube is ground referenced, a negative

DC offset at the other will inject negative ions into the plasma.

Whether or not this has any effect at distance is open to question.

If you can indicate which plasma device you are referring to, perhaps

I could be more specific. Also keep in mind, a DC offset at the

signal generator does not necessarily translate into one at the

output. It depends on the internal circuitry of the power amp.
