Guest guest
Hi, Most doctors also like to order a sed rate, CBC, ANA and maybe ASO screen or C-reactive protein. These ones come to my mind, although I am probably forgetting some. Hope you are having a great day! Kim M --- Rysu19@... > wrote: >Hi everyone, > >I am drawing a blank. Guest guest
Hi there, I've had alot of knee probs myself. I do know they can do the scan, and there is arthroscopic surg, if your firend wants to go that far. Myself, I've gone through the draining and cortisone injections. Now when my knee swells, I get the old cane out and use it for a couple of days yes it hurts my pride too, but it helps. I've also been on a diet, lost 5 lbs and that is helping. gambler4402@... Guest guest
Rainy Sue, Here's a good summary of the basic lab tests done when a rheumatic disease is suspected: http://www.rheumatic.org/tests.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: <Rysu19@...> < egroups> Sent: Friday, October 20, 2000 5:25 PM Subject: [ ] help for a friend > Hi everyone, > > I am drawing a blank. Guest guest
Would someone help me put together a list of foods that feed yeast? Anything containing yeast (breads, etc), all sugars, anything fermented (like vinegar, soy sauce, beer etc), all alcohol, most dairy, (except for plain yogurt), coffee, many additives and preservatives in food. In my experience, sugar and alcohol are the worst. One cookie or half glass of wine and I can barely get up the next day. Also, some fruit is ok, but don't overdo it. Orange juice is really bad. Yeast loves orange juice. I was also told to stay away from bananas and all dried fruit (raisins etc). Gloria
Guest guest
This is how we got rid of a raging yeast infection in my daughter : http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info This diet will also help with auto-immune disease and helps regulate hormones- not to mention cure celiac, Chron's and IBS. AND.. if that weren't enough ;-) It was just written up in the Children's Neurobiological Solutions Newsletter as a way to control seizures and help with developmental disorders. I can attest that it DOES help with cognitive gains! I did not know this when we started the diet as I was desperate to get the yeast under control as it was causing her Lichen Sclerorus to flare, and could not believe the sudden gains she made developmentally across the board. What a nice surprise! http://www.cnsfoundation.org/newsletter/newsletter_70/newsletter_02.html It's gaining more and more creditability in treating autism: http://www.mothering.com/experts/arranga-archive.shtml#unvaccinated It was mentioned on that same site as the MVP article, but can't find the URL at the moment. If you want some really interesting reading, read about this diet and how your gut can affect your entire body and MIND. This diet has been a real life saver for my daughter and if I eat more of what she eats, I feel lots better as well. I should go on this, but I only have enough will power for one. <g> Carol in IL doihavtasay@...Mom to 7 blessings including , 3 with DS and Grandma to Micah and Jonah. I have a friend that is having a terrible time. I told her to quit feeding the yeast and she doesn't know what feeds it, so anything I can tell her about yeast and the problems, foods to avoid and so forth that I can forward her would be wonderful! Thanks, Deborah
