MB12 or valtrex first??

Hi - I am new to the group and, with the help of my DAN!, have

gotten on board with trying antivirals (Valtrex) and MB12 for my 31

month old son. My DAN! recommended inosinoprine (sp?) but I haven't

heard much talk about it, nor anyone's experience with it, so I

pushed for valtrex, which he prescribed. I'm just not sure which to

start first and for how long before starting the other. I'm hoping

I can learn from your experiences as to what you did and why, and

what came with each treatment. My DAN! suggested we start both at

the same time, but how would I know what is working and what

isn't??

A quick description of my son - he's 31 months, 30 lbs, verbal,

described as high functioning, although he received a provisional dx

of autism at 19 months. He's been in ABA, speech, OT, and music

therapy for over a year and has come a long way. Great memory, can

put sentences together, starting to get more social around peers,

great sense of humor, knows emotions...just a very sweet natured

little guy. Downside is that he is very spacy and " stims " alot on

various things - easily redirected though. Eye contact not that

great but getting better. He verbalizes well but not always

functionally - that has gotten better too since starting an

antifungal. He has been on nizoral for about a month and after

about 2 weeks of excessive stimming, he is speaking more and more

clearly, appropriately using multi-word sentences, etc. Better eye

contact too. He also is on SuperNuThera, Taurine, DMG, calcium

citrate, mag, Vit. C B-complex, CLO, and biotin.

So any thoughts on what would be start on my son based on how I've

described him and what supplements/Rxs he's on?

Oh, I might add that we received his Urinary Porphyrins profile and

Neopterine profiles back from the French Lab. Porphryins indicated

strongly and slightly increased rates on all line items and

Neopterine profile showed a 490 under Lymphotropic virosis (EBV,

CMV, SHV, VHB, and VHC). I'm still trying to figure that out.

Anyone understand or know how to interpret these tests? Would this

factor into my decision whether to start Valtrex or MB12 first?
