Guest guest
No offense taken, Michele, as one of the " oldtimers " I certainly empathize with you as my heart breaks for these kids on a daily basis//
Guest guest
Hi Michele with the one " l " ;-), God bless you. Believe me, I know and TOTALLY understand where you were coming from! You're someone I've always admired on this list (I've been here for four years) and I knew you must have been hurting terribly. I'm so glad that there were many list members who were able to support you and help you through it. Your posts did make me reflect, though -- about how sometimes a " success story " can have the opposite effect than we intended, and that, while we can, and should, share them, we should also try to be sensitive to those parents who might not be having as much success, or whose kids are taking longer, who started older, etc. (mine started at 4). I hope everyone will know that we really are here to offer support and kindness and get each other through the lows while we celebrate the highs, in addition to offering information. Incidentally -- thank you SO MUCH to those of you who also offered me comfort off-list. Your compassion to both me and to Michele in your messages are a testament to the quality of parents in this group. HuGs all around!!! Guest guest
Michele, Thanks for your post today. I kind of think of this group as the ³ family², and sometimes I think that¹s why sometimes some of us ³let it all hang out² here like nowhere else... where else can we express ourselves regarding these situations? We have nowhere else to go to help our kids in this ³² way right now, so we are all here so we can help them as best we can. Carry on!
