Guest guest
He has several books. Exceptional reading. We've been able to integrate many of his suggestions with our observance of the DAN! protocol. The DAN! has helped with gut issues, but we still had major focus & attention issues. Once I read his book, it was easy to categorize my son's attention issues and we incorporated some of his suggestions with good results. When you said in your email that your brother had trouble in and after he got out of school, I thought of Dr. Amen's work and some of the testimonials on the website. I hope it helps. Guest guest
First, you need to ascertain whether he wants to help himself or not. Is he able to feel the need for himself to get help ? > > I don't know if this is available to you, but get him to a holistic MD. If you can find one that takes insurance, would he go? If you do some searching, you may be able to find one that meets his needs and maybe you could convince him to see this doctor instead of his current ones. I would think that the only way to convince him is to get the appropriate tests run and to have an MD tell him that he needs to make certain changes. > > If he is not very open-minded towards holistic doctors, at least one that takes insurance seems more mainstream. I really don't think a book is the answer unless the person is seeking the advice it will give. An appropriately trained doctor may have more impact. Also, my DAN doctor did some tests on me. Luckily, he takes insurance! > > Anyway, just some thoughts... > > Take care, > Jenn > > > adults with virus'/ocd/depression/anxiety > > Hello, I am a member of this group for my son, who is 10 and dx > pddnos.
