Guest guest
Hi.....When my youngest son was small, we had an apple tree out in the front yard that a lot of bees would circle around. He got stung repeatedly and got terrible allergic reactions. I would get out the baking soda, add a little water to make a paste, and slap it on the sting. It took out the redness and the swelling. This remedy was around since the cave man, I think (lol). Jeanne ALL WASHED UP Nature Loving Creations

Guest guest
Hi, According to my daughters' science book, you use Baking Soda for beestings and vinegar for wasp stings because each neutralises the other i.e. beestings are acidic and wasp stings are alkaline. I certainly know the soda is superb on a beesting from personal experience. =) Donna B. (N.Z.) Guest guest
after I started seeing a doctor for my stings my body does not react as badly..they gave me some cortisone pills which I dont take all of..and something for the skin..cortisone creme ; more % than the 1 % sold without a prescription. [when I was ten, my hand was swollen 6 weeks] nowadays, I put ice on it, take a benadryl tablet, cortisone creme on it,and see a doc that day. [i guess this list is preferably for natural healing, but I dont know what helps]the bites can also get infected
