Guest guest
Kristie, I can't get the trailer to play, but I heard about this movie several months ago, and I'm really looking forward to being able to see it! Kristy Really loved this trailer!!!! http://www.beautifulson.com/index.html
Guest guest
I found it very depressing that the filmmaker thought of his son as a lost soul.....
Guest guest
Hi, I was able to see the trailer, but I had to wait a LONG time for it to download. In fact, I had given up and was doing other stuff on my computer though I hadn't closed the trailer window. Then I heard it start and switched over to see. This isn't the typical 2 minute preview. It's more like 10 minutes. I think that must be why it takes so long. Worth it though. Thanks Kristie for letting us know. I didn't know about this movie before. Guest guest
I see what you are saying. I don't consider my own child a " lost soul " but I do work daily to have a child engaged with me, strong attention, strong affect, strong joint attention....are these qualities that are missing and " lost " from him right now? Yes they are! But I pray, and work, and research and pray some more that one day these will be " found " in my son. So while I agree the thought that the boy being a " lost soul " is morbid and terminology I may not use..I definitely see his point of view. The two things that I really focused in on in this film were: 1.) the overwhelming feeling of so many options for therapy a parent faces in the world of autism..see him at his first DAN conference with the beautiful Coldplay song playing....moves to 2.) the family in the beautiful water of Hawaii smiles swimming and happiness. I know not all families with autism experience this because perhaps they are dealing with further severity...but I could totally relate to the love and devotion and fun it can be with my son, especially in the water! and then the anxiety it can be facing research and wanting those moments of love between the family to be 100% of the time and not just in the water or ocean. Did anyone notice the man who is the father films in Hawaii the series Lost. I mean seriously beautiful filming especially scenes in the waters of Hawaii. Do they have services there? If so perhaps it's time to move! Guest guest
I loved that song. I knew it was Coldplay but could not for the life of me figure out which song. I finally found it and here are the lyrics below. I listened again to make sure and am of course freakin crying again! A Warning Sign Coldplay A warning sign I missed the good part then I realised I started looking and the bubble burst I started looking for excuses Come on in I've got to tell you what a state I'm in I've got to tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so. A warning sign You came back to haunt me and I realised That you were an island and I passed you by And you were an island to discover Come on in I've got to tell you what a state I'm in I've got to tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign When the truth is I miss you Yeah the truth is That I miss you so And I'm tired I should not have let you go So I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms And I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms Kristie Aidan 3.
