I have IBS. I've had good results from Custom Probiotics 1. Also, I

noticed good improvement when I began juicing green veggies in

October. I drink 16 oz of green veggie juice each morning. Must be

the enzymes and antioxidants. Cally

Very difficult to get into a child, esp an autistic one, but for

yourself and others compliant to eating healing foods, we are very

pleased with fermented foods - raw kimchee and sauer kraut and HIGH

potency probitics from Custom probiotics - worth the bucks and free of

any FOS or questionable ingredients....Matt is haveing two sometimes

three movements a day now, after only 2 weeks...still mush, but MOVING

at least, and no miralax or other anti constipation strategies are on

board at this time. So far so good....it seems to be helping us as

well. That and diet changes. The fermented foods seem to sig lessen

sugar cravings too....

,

I have IBS and my son, is ASD with GI difficulties. I feel

pretty certain that my problems started slowly after giving birth to

him and having too many antibiotics around the time of his birth. IV

for group B strep, bladder infection when he was 3-4 days old and

mastitis when he was 10 days old. I'm pretty sure all those abx would

have been passed through the breastmilk. I didn't make all the

connections until last year, 5 years later :( I was diagnosed with

IBS when ryan was already gluten free, so I figured why not? I gave

it a try and saw great improvement in my condition. when there was a

problem...usually after eating out for what was supposed to be gluten

free, my GI symptoms would return for 7-10 days :( Once I discovered

SCD, I felt pretty confident that this is what we both needed.

Healing. So, I started on December 1st and started Dec. 28th.

We've both seen major improvements. formed stools. i don't have the

urgency that I used to. 's behavior is much improved. we are

doing other biomedical interventions with him as well, but i think scd

is playing a big part in our recoveries!

Hmmm. Interesting that you never noticed a gluten intolerance before. I have had so much pain over the last 25 years that I am just ready to scream. Funny thing is, I always pegged it as a gynological-problem...bloating, cramping, SEVERE pain at that certain time of the month. No doctors could ever figure it out for me. Tried all kinds of anti-inflammatories. Only thing that ever helped was vioxx and now that's gone thanks to too many lawsuits. So then it got so bad one night, I went to the ER in complete intolerable pain. Like so much pain I can't even change a diaper, feed my kids, etc. Lots of testing turned up nothing. ugh. Sent me to another OB/GYN doctor who finally removed my appendix and my right ovary. He said this would take the pain away...bum ovary he said. $5000 later and NOPE. Pain is back. Only now, it's not tied into any certain time of month. So I'm convinced, finally, that I've been suffering from sporadic bouts of IBS my whole life and no one has ever figured it out cuz it always timed itself perfectly with my female cycle. I did some research and found this comment:

Researchers have found that women with IBS may have more symptoms during their menstrual periods, suggesting that reproductive hormones can worsen IBS problems.

Anybody else experience this?
