viral testing before starting valtrex

Our Dan Dr suggested using valtrex but we haven't had any kind of viral

testing. Shouldn't this be done first before using valtrex when maybe

it's not needed. My son has been very reluctant in taking any of his

supplement for the past 6 months but is now cooperating again and

hopefully we can start valtrex if needed.

She I ask for testing first?
