And why I would even have to question that and not

specifically remember that (which now I remember him

saying exactly that), I don't know. Shows how stress

can utterly block your memory or ability to think! lol

While the SSRI may help, I hope you don't give up on trying to get your son

back on an antiviral. I have a friend whose daughter, as per Dr. G's

instructions, was weaned off her antiviral. About a year later, foggy brain

kicked back in and she couldn't remember things. Dr. G put her back on her

antiviral. I don't think that he put her back on an SSRI. It seems the

antiviral is the key. Why is there trouble getting an antiviral? Do you

lack health insurance or does the insurance you have just refuse to pay. (I

just hate the insurance companies sometimes.)

All the best,

April

Hi April -

Thank you for your experience. I also fear the

antiviral is key. I don't have a current pediatrician

because my last one (he was about to give us

antivirals, too, doggoneit) went back into research,

so...

Thing is, finding a pediatrician anywhere near

Birmingham AL who will think outside of the box is

very difficult. I'm going to hunt down some people

for the local ASA chapter and see if anyone else has

succeeded, but last time I checked, no one around here

has received medical treatment (that they're telling)

besides an alternative med doc who wouldn't think of

rx'ing a pharmaceutical. :(

That is the only reason, besides not having the funds

to see Goldberg again - YET, but will. I have no

doubt his labs will show viral, but no one here will

interpret it according to the way Dr Goldberg does. I

need to stop being pessimistic and just get on with

the extremely frustrating search for an open minded

pediatrician now that I have my car back. And maybe

this time, having Dr G's records available would be

useful.... Hmmmm.

Thank you-
