Guest guest
Hi, My 5 1/2 year old son, who is getting close to recovery thanks to Stan, came down with the flu last Friday. We had an initial high fever, which came down (I thought, because of homeopathy). He was good the next day, worse the third and fourth day, and appeared to be on the mend by the 5th day, though he still had some fever. My ex-husband gave our son some Motrin that night (he has only had Motrin 1 other time in his life), and the next day my son had less fever, but was more lethargic. Then, by night-time, he had 104 degree fever. The doctor listened to his chest, and it seemed clear. We did blood work today, which indicated no elevated white count. A Chest xray has been suggested, but I hate the idea of radiation, as does my ex. Can viruses go this long with high fevers? What can I do?!! Any knowledge or suggestions are so valuable to me and very welcome to our family. Thanks, Jill
Guest guest
To reduce the fever, have you tried Liquid Calcium? I've read on this group before that this is very helpful in reducing fevers. My son is on it just as a supplement right now so I don't have any direct experience with it bringing down fevers but had read it on this group before. Worth checking into.
