Ok, My son Ethan, 4.5yrs old, has been regressing the last 2

days...and its on and off throughout the day...pretty weird, hope I

can explain this...

When Ethan gets a high fever, his eyes get pretty weird, his pupils

get darker, and it seems like HE isnt 'there'....however, for the

first time 2 weeks ago (a week or so after we stopped Nystatin by

accident) He wasnt feeling well, complaining of a head

ache...however, he had the scary blank eyes, WITHOUT the

fever...first time this ever happened, and he was listless just like

a fever...so we gave him tylenol (we use supossitories (he hasnt

taken anything orally unless it is hidden in his juice, and when he

feels sick, he only drinks little by little and I wanted this to work

fast...anyway he hasnt taken anything orally without jucie since a

long stay 1.5 years ago at Childrens hosipital for a partially

collapsed lung with pneumonia (sp?)....

And about 10 minutes after the meds, he was up and playing with

normal eyes, when it wore off that day, back to feeling listless and

scary eyes...so we gave meds that whole day every 4 hours....This

lasted just one day and he was just fine the next day....

Fastforward last week, suddenly his hyperness has been out of

control, and I kind of figured it was due to the addition of TMG, so

I added more folinic acid (I plan to add carnitine after reading

online the last few days about helping with hyperness)....

Then 2 days ago, he had the scary eyes again, and it was like one

hour with scary eyes, then 3 without, and when he was hyper and

almost out of control, he usually always had the weird scary eyes...

(not that he 'acts' scary, his eyes are scary to look at for me since

he seems 'not there'..if that makes sense)...

THEN yesterday at the mall (we went to the bookstore where they have

a traintable to play, he did a FANTASTIC time sharing and saying 'hi'

to each child that came to play and even SHARED his long line of

trains with the kids who came...both from prompting by me, and

without prompting....then after we went to pick up DH after work and

they were playing at his store (pottery barn kids) and he bumped his

head, slightly...and he got scary eyes (he probably had them before

the owie..it was hardly a bump, but most times when he is hyper, he

goes over the top with anything that might be an owie and over

reacts...but I still comfort him regardless of his

reaction...)...anyway, he was crying and kind of crawling out of his

skin kind of anxiousness and then he crunched his face and clicked

his tongue twice before calming down...

It was pretty scary to me...not that he had a tic (or what I think is

one, or is this what a 'stim' is?) Both of my boys have very

few 'stims' so I am knew to this side of things...

Then after calming down and then by the time we got home his eyes

were fine and he was back to talking and playing normally...

We have our second DAN visit this Monday and we are going over the

blood work from the end of Novemeber when they had their testing

done...His viral titers came back thru the roof from what I can see...

So, do you think its Yeast? Viral? A couple of days after the first

time he had 'eyes' like this without the fever, I did the high dose

vitamin (mycelized) bolus drops, and have been maintaining with the

maintenence dose since....so maybe the yeast has gotton stronger

since we mistakenly stopped the Nystatin, then when I treated for the

super high measles titers with the High Dose Vitamin A Protocol,

could this have caused a HUGE YEAST problem, along with the numerous

Viral issues that he has?

Or could this be something else? PLEASE help, here by posting or

even emailing privately: angiecreates at sbcglobal dot net

We are on the GFCF diet and we also avoid soy, peanuts and eggs (from

allergist results a few years back) and also are free of artifical

preservatives, colors, flavors, and are as organic as possible in

food, and are moving towards an organic home as well...

Thanks!

Ok, so if it reduces the Glutathione AND he gets better with tylenol,

then does that mean Ethan has too much Glutathione?

Help!?!?!?

I just purchased some Glutathione to try...

I thought I was getting much better at putting this puzzle together,

now I am in a whole other world when adding viruses and yeast and

bacteria into the mix...

I agree it would be wise to try and rule out seizures, especially if

that scary eyes stuff started shortly after viral episode, as viral

infections can set off seizures

see if these few chapters on seizures and listlessness ring any bells

with what you are seeing:

Thanks for the tip, I just researched some info on seizures, and I

dont *think* that it is what I am seeing...

When he has these 'scary eyes' as I call them, he is alert, more

hyper, talking, playing, etc...and he does remember everything too...

I guess I should probably try to explain it a little better...

Hmm...you know when you are sick and you can just look at someone's

eyes to tell they dont feel well? Well, that is what happens to his

eyes, even when he 'looks' like he is well and acts like it (although

MUCH more hyper)...

He gets the same sort of eyes when he has a high fever, although when

he has a high fever (which prior to this diet and starting bio med

treatments was with EVERY LITTLE BUG AND COLD..it would turn into

pneumonia, and he was on 2 daily asthma meds and allergy meds, now,

he doesnt need anything daily and only uses his nebulizer if its

needed..HUGE improvement! And since starting this this past October,

he has only had ONE episode of broncialitus (sp?) this WHOLE

winter...where as before, it was every 2-3 weeks at least!)...

Anyway, when he would get sick with a fever and illness, he would be

listless on the couch...but still able to 'be here' ...I have never

had to 'shake him out of it'...he has never had to be..if I am

explaining it right....

gosh, I am Italian and Greek and I speak with my hands, its so much

easier to explain in person! LOL!

Anyway, my heart of heart thinks its just super high yeast and big

viruses, especially since when he would be sick with a high fever, he

would have always been prescribed a big antibiotic and

steriods...both can bring high yeast, but prior to starting this, he

was never given any anti-yeast treatment...so that just built up and

built up...same with bacteria and viruses..

Do you think this makes sense? So you think maybe the clicking was

just a stim to calm himself down yesterday? He has also

been 'smelling' everything with his fingers, another new stim...so I

am thinking that he is just regressing because of everthing

overloading his poor body, and since he has never had this stims

before, its all very new and scary to me...not only to KNOW what is

going on inside of him, but to have actual visable PROOF how bad its

affecting him...its a reality check for me..ya know?

Today he is great, still pretty hyper, I didnt give him the TMG

yesterday at all, and I went to the store and purchased DMG to try

instead...how long do you think I should wait to start the DMG and

the Glutathione I purchased?

We are getting another snow tomorrow, so I dont know if we are going

to drive the 2.5 hours to see the DAN tomorrow...yikes!

Thanks again to everyone, I am very grateful to have a place to come

and ask ?'s and get responsible, correct info!
