Hi-- I like your line " I know this sounds nuts " -- yes, it does,

however, I will probably try it. I know my kids are both very

sensitive to acupressure points. My son had VERY traumatic hospital

stays and barium enema's... I had him seen by a pediatric EMDR

therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization Response). I had an EMDR

session done on me for the trauma association of when he had his 7

minute febrile seizure, and I'll be darned if the session didn't have

me crying heavily...my eyes were flicking back and forth and I

couldn't control them--it was so weird. (in emdr, that is the state

you want to get to--get the eyes going back and fort " erasing " the

anxiety files, so to speak). So I had my son undergo EMDR to help

him with issues that I felt were impacting his constipation. We had

to write a story about the whole event(s) and my dh read it aloud

while the therapist was tapping on his hands. I held Ethan and I

could feel his abdomen going into knots during certain parts of the

story. And we were all surprised when THAT NIGHT, he began to have

normal bowel movements for the first time in a VERY long time. Very

easy to push out, decent size... This lasted for an entire month. I

may contact the woman again to do it again and see if we get the same

result-- right now, he's doing OK, but it is not as good as it was

during that month. Or maybe we will try it ourselves and see if we

can duplicate it.

But yes, the strangest things sometimes help. I like the price of

this one you are mentioning-- free.

Hi All!

We use EFT on a pretty much daily basis now. for headaches, tummy aches,

stiff muscles, anxiety, to keep blood pressure down naturally. I also do it to

work out emotional issues that come up in life or from earlier life experiences

that effect me negatively.

its a combination of acupressure and affirmations. its been very effective for

us. my husband no longer takes blood pressure meds. he just taps and asks

his body to bring down the BP. and within several minutes it drops like 30 pts!

also for allergies. or for like a stuffy nose in the AM.....tap one or two

rounds of

EFT and the nose clears.

peace

Tapping for emothional freedom is very personal and individual. As an

example, it might take me more than one try to get release. It might take

me many tries. Try when you are tapping to also use deep breathing,

that helps too. My sister and I have lots of old time issues dating back

to our childhood. Sometimes she makes me so angry I just can't stand

myself. Sometimes after she calls me on the phone, I have to do a lot of

tapping...LOL And, I sometimes offer a prayer - Dear Lord, please don't

let me go over there and beat her head against the wall... This works!

Just remember, tapping is for emtional freedom, not to stress yourself

out on - How too's, why too's and when too's, just do it...you can not

fail. You can not fail. You can not fail and you can't do it wrong.

Hi Anne

I finally got to read the whole thread on EFT. Its very exciting to me to hear

other people using this easy and effective technique. AND your last

paragraph really summed it up

you can not fail, you can not do it wrong. and its not to stress you out...its

to

destress you out.

AND...we often use a shortened technique. I dont always use the affirmation

point first. and i dont always use the Gammut point section. If i feel blocked

and that it is not working....then i go back and do the entire sequence.

But often...just saying the affirmation as you tap each point is enough. and its

easier to do in public that way for me.

Another wonderful book i use with affirmations and points is Life Energy by

Dr. Diamond. fabulous wisdom in it. and a wonderful way of looking at

dis-eases.

peace to all
