Guest guest
Several days ago I started my 2yo on Virastop, just 1/4 to start & he seemed fine on it for a few days. Then I raised him to 1/2 cap. The next day I sprinkled a bit of GSE into his midday supps, since he seemed to do well on GSE back in Dec (he definitely has yeast & I was concerned about the Virastop aggravating it); he also gets 10mg biotin, & custom probiotics for yeast. The next morning he ate a banana as he usually does, then got 3/4 through his usual goat yogurt with his supps mixed like I always do for him & then he threw up. Not much; seemed like mostly banana. I dropped the rest of the yogurt for him. He then ate his usual 2 scrambled eggs just fine & ate & acted normal the rest of the day (except he's been a bit more like he needs a nap during the day since the virastop, even though he typically doesn't nap anymore). Yesterday after that he had all his usual supps, including another 1/2 cap virastop & sprinkle GSE in his *midday* supps. This morning the same thing happened. He ate his banana, got mostly all done with his goat yogurt & supps & threw up, even more then yesterday this time. He probably lost most of his supps. He then ate & acted normal all day. I only tonight noticed a new rash on his one arm (he typically develops rashes as reactions to almost anything new, but he's had this stuff several days now). So I'm perplexed & worried about getting his supps into him tomorrow. He may just turn down his yogurt & then I'm sunk. That's the way I get all his supps into him. But I wonder why he is throwing up...? I dropped the virastop & GSE today; he didn't have any. I also cut back his biotin to about 8mg. Any thoughts about this? Thanks, Michele
Guest guest
No; I don't call the dr over his rashes or I'd be calling multiple times a day LOL. It looks like most of his rashes; nothing different (although he gets different ones now & then for variety). This one is an itchy, raised, when he scratches it breaks; there's some bleeding even. It's not widespread - at this point mostly on the arms. I cut back his supps yesterday afternoon & this morning, & did not give him a banana this morning. He had an SCD muffin, then his yogurt with supps, & did fine & is still fine. I have a feeling it was the Virastop. He generally has a difficult time with enzymes. Bothers me though becz it seems it may have been doing something. I wouldn't take him off for a rash but for throwing up I obviously had to cut it. Michele > > Did you ask your doctor?
