Guest guest
I found these descriptions of the following diagnosis codes at http://www.empiremedicare.com/nyorkpolicya/policy/rd005e03.htm 780.99 Other general symptoms; Amnesia, Chills, Generalized pain, Hypothermia, not associated with low environmental temperature 279.3 Unspecified immunity deficiency I can see why your doctor didn't think he could use 780.99 - other general symptoms. But 279.3 very clearly states immune disfunction so I'm not sure why this one gave him pause... Re: Insurance Codes Provided I'm confused. My doctor wouldn't bill and use these codes because he sais they are incorrect and are not for immune dysfunction and neuro cognitive dysfunction???? > > Does Dr. G use the term as a diagnosis on forms that go to > > insurance companies? > > > > > > 279.3 and 780.99 > > Neuro-Cognitive Dsyfunction > Immune Dsyfunction > > >
Guest guest
These are international codes issued by the WHO - Dr G's codes are listed in the ICD9 edition - though a revised ICD10 has been published. Insurance companies use these codes universally. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of friendsofcam Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 2:12 AM Subject: Re: Insurance Codes Provided I'm confused.
