Guest guest
Here is an example of a cost-effective product for personal research. It's a recent release by Velleman, incorporating new and relevant features over their pre-existing models (sometimes sold as " Rife generators " ). Check out the specs and see if it suits you. http://www.vellemanusa.com/downloads/0/infosheets/pcgu1000.pdf In contrast to the also cheap PC sound card approach, this module provides an output level which is usable, in certain modes, without further amplification, as well as a much more versatile DC-2MHz frequency range. The advantages over a Chinese-made bench function generator of similar price are: 1) the ability to generate complex waveforms and, more significantly for us, 2) sequenced playback of a user-programmed frequency list. I presume the " 10V output " is across the + and - 5V outputs. Of course, this can be boosted with an external amplifier, if desired. But it needs to be a specialized " wide band " type for anything outside of 20Hz-20KHz. Perhaps someone could work up a simple circuit for this. For safety, I would only operate this, and the host laptop, on battery power. eg. both disconected from the power grid. Please note the above is not a recommendation for any specific type of use, and I am not associated with Velleman or their resellers.
