Heights scare me too.It had nothing to do with weight. Many years ago a few

friends and I went up to North Star Sky Resort in Lake Tahoe. They were skiing. My

friend and I were'nt.They wanted to go to the lodge at the top of the

mountain. It sounded good. Until I found out we had to take the ski lift!!! I was

thinking that doesnt look to bad (height) wise! Until we started up the

mountain! We were up above the roofs of the Condos near by. I was not happy and

we went higher yet! Once at the top.I was so happy it was over (the ride)!! But

I knew I had to go back down sooner or later!!! The view was very pretty.Tons of

snow piled up way beneigh our danggleing feet..I had nightmares for weeks after

the trip.Of falling off the lift and sinking into that snow!!! The ride down was

uneventful. But I remember something happened at the top of the lift forcing it

to stop mid way down the mountain. We stood bouncing in the air for what seemed

like an eternity..We laughed about that trip for

years..I am not a thrill seeker. So Parasailing is for the much more daring soul

not for me!!!

Hey Marta,

We have seen parasailers up here! They get them up in the air with

the boats on the lake, then the parasailer releases, and floats all

around the lake on the wind currents (we have plenty of wind). It may

be something some of the rafting companies up here may be getting

into. I will have to check on it.

I have never gone whitewater rafting, but Mike and the boys have.

They loved it. But I have always been, to fat, to scared or to

something...lol

I prefer to get a big innertube and tube down the river at riverside

park. I know, more dangerous than rafting, but eh, what can I say?
