I can only surmise like the rest of us. I do know that some yeasts, fungi, and molds are beneficial in some way. Dead yeasts, fungi, and mold don't produce anything beneficial and anything that was beneficial in them while alive is now dead, destroyed and toxic. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Yes! I see no reason for it being in there when everything else is still living and vital. The only reason I can think of that it may be in there is for the B-12. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
, under Natural Health Recipes you will find "Complete Nutrition" which is similar to Super Nutrition but without the yeast and a few variations. Guest guest
The yeast is definitely gf, but if it's processed in a plant that also processes wheat/gluten products, you'd have to decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. It's a fantastic source of B vitamins, but clearly not great if contaminated with gluten from other products! -----Original Message----- From: m k <rickybigthighs@...> Sent: Thu, Jul 16, 2009 8:27 pm Subject: [ ] nutritional yeast is this for sure gf? Guest guest
Kal Nutritional Yeast is labeled gluten-free and I've had absolutely no problems with it. I haven't had issues with nutritional yeast being an especially contaminated product, personally. It's good stuff! - > > The yeast is definitely gf, but if it's processed in a plant that also processes wheat/gluten products, you'd have to decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. Guest guest
Red Star nutritional yeast says right on the package that it is processed in a facility that also processes wheat; it doesn't mention anything about using good manufacturing procedures to keep products separate. I haven't contacted Red Star directly to ask about this, but its label certainly doesn't reassure me. -----Original Message----- From: seamaiden399 <seamaiden399@...> Sent: Sun, Jul 19, 2009 11:19 am Subject: [ ] Re: nutritional yeast Kal Nutritional Yeast is labeled gluten-free and I've had absolutely no problems with it.
