Guest guest
, Tumeric.. 2 oz is okay.. I go by looks on this.. give or take an oz... I add it after I have blended everything together.. so that it soaks into all.. This way when I strain, I have tumeric in the pulp also... as I grind mine up for use. Where do you keep your dried root? IN glass or plastic, .. in the dark?? these are factors on how long it will keep. Suzi <blairkj@...> wrote: I am going to make some more super tonic in a few weeks. I use 2 ounces but that is only because of the size of the bottle I can get. Seems to be a good quantity though. You can add more or less. I am considering upping mine to 4 ounces as turmeric is so good for you. Herbs usually begin to lose potency at about 6 months to one year. This is for the leafy part. Roots can stay potent for up to three years. By all means tincture your root and it will last even longer. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. At least you are eating unpasteurized dairy products and some raw meats and all organic at that. Much better than anything from the supermarket. If we listen to our bodies when we are ill we will notice that eating is not a priority. This is natures way of healing through, for lack of a better term, forced fasting. No animal in nature eats when ill. Only man does and hence suffers from more afflictions than any other critters. Illness is only the bodies way of telling us that we have put too much mucus forming foods and/or toxins into our body and it is time to cleane it out. How often do we listen and act accordingly? We are all taught that when we are ill we need to eat some really healthy dead, devitalized grandmothers famous chicken noodle soup or what have you. All this does is serve to lock in more dis-ease by adding more mucus and not removing any. It only compounds the problem. Your dressing/stuffing sounds wonderful. As for salt, if you are eating all organic raw fruits and veggies 100% of the time then there is no reason for you to need any salt. If your body is cleansed of all mucus and toxins then there is no reason for you to need any extra salt. Most of us humans use way too much salt. Why? Because we eat dead food and need the salt to make it taste better. Dead food does not taste all that wonderful unless we spice it up with herbs & spices including salt. The professionals all tell us we need salt because according to their studies our bodies don't get enough. Hmmmm.... maybe that is because we don't eat enough fresh raw organic fruits and veggies and we eat too much dead devitalized foods. Celtic sea salt is by far much better for you than regular table salt which has been stripped of anything useful and overly processed to the point that it is no longer organic. You could also use dulse or kelp instead of salt. Just gring it up and use a few shakes on your food. This way you get plenty of organic iodine, sodium and lots of other minerals from the sea and all organic. Peace be with you Anne. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
You can make it without, Tracey. I did the first time before I got some. And once I used the minced stuff in the jar, making sure it didn't have any additives in it. It's usually in the produce section. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, This wasn't directed at me, but I give it to our 7 year old son in apple juice or water, with a water chaser. He takes it just fine. And he holds the record for the least days missed at school due to illness. Guest guest
Thanks He is fine about it in water just a small tea cup and doesn't even need a chaser. Our kids are pretty good with things like this if they know they will help them. They drink the Aloe Vera Juice straight too without complaint. On the other hand my mother told me recenlty that she tipped out a whole bottle of the same brand Aloe Vera Juice because she couldn't drink it. *shaking head* its not that bad :-) Blessed Be Tracey ----- Original Message ----- From: health Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 3:54 AM Subject: Re: Super Tonic Hi Tracey, This wasn't directed at me, but I give it to our 7 year old son in apple juice or water, with a water chaser.
