Guest guest
So Evan, These are nice. I had someone who Sharon recommended, make me some wonderful gowns similar to these. I love them, my patients love them, but the perfectionist that lives in my head is always harping on how wrinkled they are. I am wondering if that bothers you at all (your perfectionist, not mine, at least I hope mines not that loud). ... or do you iron them? Guest guest
Lonna, That is funny. I have the same issue with perfection and wish I had gotten a cotton/poly blend that wouldn't wrinkle instead of the nice 100% cotton fabric I chose. I haven't ironed them, but do hang them to dry and shake them and try to get the wrinkles out by running my hands over the wet fabric. Nobody's complained....they like the homemade gowns. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Whenever I get more made, I'll have her make them a little longer; mine are too short for tall people. Guest guest
You know, I think Evan might be OK because he meditates to quiet his inner perfectionist. (That's MEDITATES, not MEDICATES). Or maybe he irons.I agree about the length of the gowns. Cotton poly might not shrink that little bit too.Lonna"Sharon McCoy , M.D." wrote: Lonna, That is funny. Guest guest
Mine are flannel and patterned so you can't see the wrinkles as much ;-). I do have a couple of brushed flannel cotton/poly blend that are nice but not as warm.-- Lynette I Iles MD 214 South Iowa Ste 3 Washington IA 52353 Flexible Family Care'Modern medicine the old-fashioned way' This e-mail and attachments may contain information which is confidential and is only for the named addressee. Guest guest
yes. i do yoga with the gowns on instead of ironing them my gowns are flannel. maybe that makes a difference as well. also, my wife says that if you put the velcro together before washing seems to help. should i post the file on the wiki site?
